ChamindaChaminda Walpola & Friends with Preetysha

Chaminda is the son of Latha and late Darmadasa Walpola who dominated the Sinhala music scene in the fifties, sixties and even in the seventies. Chaminda has the unique ability to imitate his late father and the songs he sings makes many a Sri Lankan nostalgic in some of the most popular pop songs of an era gone bye. But Chaminda with his superb style of singing has given rebirth to those songs.

Preethysha is more or less the same, making many a Hindi song lover feel proud and nostalgic, rendering in the most melodious fashion some of the most popular Hindi songs sung by the
nightingale of India, Lata Mangeskhar.

Chaminda and Preethysha are a most sought after duo in their respective communities.

Chaminda will also be performing with his mother, Latha Walpola on February 9th, 2008, in the concert called “Mau Putu Gee Madu” in Los Angeles, California.
