Chaminda is the son of Latha and late Darmadasa Walpola who dominated the Sinhala music scene in the fifties, sixties and even in the seventies. But Chaminda with his superb style of singing has given rebirth to those songs.
Preethysha is more or less the same, making many a Hindi song lover feel proud and nostalgic, rendering in the most melodious fashion some of the most popular Hindi songs sung by the
nightingale of India, Lata Mangeskhar.
